Blue roses are pretty hard to find. They totally exist, but they're very, very rare. So when I tried to get one for a birthday gift, I decided to just go ahead and paint one. Done and done. I did it in watercolor. My watercolor skills were a bit rusty but came right back around the time I was finishing. Sa la vie. The bottom image is a detail of the bridge and river scene.
